Measuring 335mm x 80mm x 270mm in size, the netbook case is perfect for travelling and could fit your mini notebook and all your accessories and peripherals in at a breeze. Not surprisingly, the Trust netbook carry bag is a super-light laptop bag that is really affordable, yet efficient and simple to handle. Though the carry handles are not padded, they are pretty durable and easy to carry. The black colour netbook case is designed with a contrast blue stitching and handles that lend a distinct appeal to the user. The netbook bag is manufactured from a high strength fabric for heavy duty use like travelling and commuting. The rest of the review will cover some of the compartments and other useful sections of the bag.

Main compartment:

Measuring 55 mm x 300 mm x 245 mm in size, we are pretty impressed with the main compartment of the bag built to fit most netbook models with a screen size up to 12 inches. Will this keep your hardware really safe? The answer is a ‘yes’ as the main compartment contains a padded interior to protect your netbook, though we thought the main section could have done with a bit more padding inside. We tested it with a SAMSUNG Q35 12.1″ screen laptop and HP Mini 210 netbook and they seem to fit snugly into the main compartment without any squeeze. The bag has also little compartments inside to put your leads in etc.

Extra compartment:

The Trust 16074 netbook bag is built with an extra compartment to store your MP3 player, iPod, PDA, power supply, headphones, cables etc. For some reasons, most bag manufacturers seem to overlook the power supply, which is apparently an essential part of any laptop or netbook. This section is pretty rugged even in its neoprene sleeve; it has still plenty of room for portable DVD writer and cables. We would have given 5 stars, had there been a small pocket for memory stick and/or mobile dongle. There is no removable pouch for adaptor and cables or shoulder carrying strap which is a big let down. Disappointingly, there is no grab handle on the back either.

Summary:

The biggest plus of the Trust netbook bag is that the front compartment can hold all the essentials you need for travelling. Small and compact, the laptop bag is an amazing price. And of course you will be shelling out anything around £30-£40 in the high street shops for a bag of similar quality. Overall, it is a nicely built netbook case at a great price, though it is deprived of some key features.

On a positive note, this laptop bag is really light enough with straps to stop it moving around. The competitive price of the bag is obviously another added attraction.

Let us take a closer look at the Bag, shall we? You want compact, do you? How does 139 cm (D) x 342cm (H) x 457cm (W) small sound? It does sound to us like you will have lots of room for storing all your essential computer and electronic accessories. Coming to its material, the bag is made of nylon and vinyl. Not a bad idea, as we may know from experience and actual use that nylon is a highly, durable, less messy to clean, water resistant and the material of course is synonymous with outdoor pursuits equipment. However in this case, it makes a great material for long lasting use and the hard-wearing nature of vinyl makes it preferable over others.

Designed to hold up to 17″ screen size:

We actually tested it carrying around our 17” laptop in the bag, and it seems to do the job really well, so we came to the conclusion that the bag is well designed to accommodate notebooks up to 17″ or monitor size around 431 mm, which is good considering its compact size.  Perhaps, the best part of it is the stylish black colour that gives a great professional look to the case. There is a stylish grey contrast stitching that runs throughout the bag giving a splendid finish. The interior of the case has a funky fiesta stripe lining that adds further to the style.

Compartment features:

The rest of the review will be much about the various compartments, pouches and organizer slots of the case that we will see one by one. To begin with, the  computer compartment of the bag has foam padding which no doubt will keep the laptop snug and secure during travel and commutes to work protecting it against shocks caused because of accidental impacts. The dedicated computer compartment is quite roomy and lush. And there, you have a quality case in the making. The height of the compartment is 11.50”, width is 1.75” and 15.75” long in size.

Matching accessory pouch:

The Wenger WA-7733-02 Laptop bag also has a separate matching accessory pouch large enough for the accessories you need to carry with you.  The rear compartment is spacious having a file divider to protect your important files and documents and keep them in order. The padded sleek compartments are spacious, but not at all bulky in appearance.  Another thing that impressed us is the spacious business organizer compartment and this we found was pretty helpful to store key clip, ID, MP3 plays pockets, phone and other emergency supplies and devices.

There are double-shoulder straps made of Nylon & Vinyl to make sure the weight is uniformly distributed and is lightweight so that you are comfortable carrying on the shoulders. The double straps to the top certainly make this lovely bag really functional and you can also slip it down over your shoulders.
